Me starting this thread, I know shocker. But rather then clotting up the general chat thread, we should have a thread for Football and the World Cup. (I like the world cup so I can take a vested interest) So England...hmmm we won but we weren't exactly good were we? Thanks to Paraguay, we got that goal and we were rubbish in the second half. Come on England, pull your socks up. We are so slow at the beginning in every sport.

but i do like the liverpool players to do well for england.specially gerrard - what a player!

the aussie who plays for leeds isnt in their squad, is he? with the time difference their match doesnt start till around 11pm so that aint too bad, bit difficult for kids though. good luck to harry kewell if playing! he's gonna get better and better for the reds next season.

Fletcher was on BBC Radio Five Live approx 5 minutes saying that Oz would make the last 16. He also believed that Oz would draw with Brazil!
