How great was the Neighbours doco on Five??? Tons of great Fletch footage from the UK tours and St Kilda nights. Although I must say one could make a drinking game out of how many times the presenter told us Fletch's age! Some mates of mine have family in Australia, and they've asked me to tag along next time they go over...I might finally get to see Waiting Room this year! Wish me luck! If you haven't watched the doco yet, don't miss it! It's great! Welcome to five, Neighbours! Now if Waiting Room would just tour America...

Great news that you might be able to get over to Aus later in the year It was great that so much of the guys performing was shown on the show - lots of good memories from December.

No really it's fine - I was quite happy just seeing the little snippets of me at the gigs and the back of my head in one of the union shots.
I was dreading them showing me during the interview because I never like the way I sound, so as much as it would have been good to see more of the interview itself I'm glad there was no more of me.

Know what you mean! It is a shock to see yourself on the TV or a video and not be able to change what you say! The worst thing I ever saw of me was at Tom O'Conner's daughter's wedding... They did a video from the guests arriving right through the rest of the day. I have a limp but I looked like some poor old drunk staggering along to the church! Have you noticed how Fletch always looks amazing on camera though? Well I guess that is why he is an actor!!

I spied you Miriam and Brina on the doco, me also! I was in the final crowd pan they did of the Manchester gig. I pissed myself laughing! Great doco though, loved the Fletch bits especially. They should have named the doco Fletch on Five lol, he was in it a lot! No complaints by me though. I thought all the interviews were great esp Fletch and Ian Smith's.

Can you imagine him watching that documentary!! Bet his little lad will love it! But maybe he won't be allowed to watch it? Mmmm yes, guess he will... Will have to look at it again Liz to see you... I was still on the floor laughing at myself!! It was the last thing I expected, was certain I was totally safe with all those students around that they were filming... Clare had spent the whole evening hiding from the camera! She was filmed at school for a week when she was about 8 and hasn't recovered!!! It was a film used in teacher training and she was the star!

I unfortunately did not know the Doco was on before Neighbours so I sadly missed it. I am sure there are many sad faces that cannot get Neighbours on Channel 5. I am lucky I changed the telly so that I could get it. The only thing I have problem with is that I don't like there be an interval in the middle of it and if I cannot watch it live then I have had it. I cannot tape it as I don't have a digital recorder or even watch at Mum & Dads because they don't get Channel 5.
I do however have one wish Karl is unemployed at the moment and I wish he would go back to being the Sexy Doc. I have emailed Fletch and he says stayed tuned Karl will be working again soon.
Bye for now

Yes, it could boost the numbers! Lots of people are not home by 5:30 in the evenings but are around at the w/ends. Good job they don't make the actors work weekends too often!

The doco had some great LOL moments, most featuring our Fletch!
For example (and I paraphrasing): "They say people fancy me. Young girls, older women...and some blokes!" LMAO I spilled my coffee just then! Thanks for giving a shout out to your gay fans Fletch!
I didn't quite understand the bit where Fletch kept dropping the phone, but it was very funny! And Natalie Blair doing the whole OTT parody of herself: "Oliver! The baby!"
You could do a drinking game on how many times the presenter said: "He's 50."
Didn't Jackie Woodburne look lovely! And of course, yay Kym Valentine!
Such great fun, cheers to the people who helped this sad Yank see it! Living in California...curses!
I'll have to look again mre closely to see all of your lovely faces in the crowds! I'm so excited for you!

I think that whole business with the phone was showing the fact that he was rushing around doing all these interviews (and he had to rush because he had so many to do) but then once he's on a phone interview he ends up having to kill time because he has to wait for the radio presenter (or whoever) to get back to him at the right point in the show.
