lol !! Jonathan ! California was a great place from what I can remember, but I'd have to choose Oz anytime. Fletch is definately talented and handsome? yeah ok !

Maria! And of course that song can only be sung in a thick scouse accent. Wish I knew more of it than that one line though as when you get it stuck in your head it can be very annoying.

I never had it sung to me as a nursery rhyme but living on the other side of said Mersey it certainly cropped up an a relatively frequent basis. I had my 7th birthday party on one of the ferries too and my mum (wizz that she was at cooking and baking) made a ferry birthday cake complete with c o c k tail stick railings!

I had my 7th birthday party on one of the ferries too and my mum (wizz that she was at cooking and baking) made a ferry birthday cake complete with c o c k tail stick railings! your birthday cake sounded brilliant ! my mum decorated my cakes in red and white - like a liverpool scarf cos she couldnt do the clubs badge ! they won 2 cups on my birthday - the 1978 European cup final and the all Merseyside FA CUP in 1986 - not bad birthday pressies !!

Not bad birthdays at all! Birthday cakes were always a special thing in our family. My dad, brother and I got homemade personalised ones every year. Every single one with a different design that was hand drawn/sculpted...etc
